Community Broadcasters: Programs made by people who love radio
for people who love listening to radio.
..
News:-

March 2009. Rob Polland has the idea for project, calls Al Smart.
Various web site hosts researched. Streamline is selected.
Al finds Community Broadcasters domain unused
The project is off and running.

April 2009.   Proud to be associated with NWL Radio.  (follow link)

NWL Radio is the first online station to take the full package
of programs. In addition we have been asked to work along
side the kids, helping them make programs not only for their
own station but for a wider audience. A great example of the
  community working together.

Nov. 2009.
After several setbacks, live programming is introduced
into the NWL schedule on an adhoc basis.

April 2010.
Radio Horton (Banbury) our programme schedule.
Pure Musical - Wednesday 7pm
Rob Polland's Radio Hour - Saturday 8pm
Easy Sunday - Sunday 1pm

A quote from the Radio Horton Website:-
RH started their new spring programme guide today with some fresh new
faces, making his début was Al Smart with his new Easy Sunday show at
1.00pm.

Charlotte Anne Polland brings her Pure Musical programme to Wednesday
nights at 7.00pm while dad, Rob has his Radio Hour, Saturday nights at
8.00pm.

Background:-

Al Smart is both the webmaster and is responsible for the technical standards
of the shows. Behringer seems to be the preferred choice when it comes to
both mixers and microphones; the C1 phantom powered condenser giving
a good sound quality. mAirlist is again the DJ player of choice, and with a
reasonable sound card allows for 3 separate stereo outputs from a PC. For
recording, one system uses Audacity and the other Cool Edit. The
combination of the above products gives a good sound quality and a high
signal to noise ratio. A number of the software packages are indeed free.
There are links to the various manufacturers and software organizations
(guess where?) on the links page.
If you have any questions, please use the email link at the top of the page.
